Meditation and tech

You hear over and over the gentle reminder that meditation delivers most as a daily practice. Whatever your goals or expectations for the activity are, it doesn’t matter. It works best for you when you discard expectations for what it might deliver, and just do it.

Of course, there’s an app for that. Many. Free is better than paid, in my experience, but the main draw is the daily reminder. And so tech now helps me detach from tech and put healthy space and distance between work, play, and other aspects of living, long enough to get grounded and come out feeling clean and clear.

Tech and marketing problems can be easy to solve, or extremely entangled with variable side effects. Navigating with agility, balancing bullshit vs real results, questioning data and quality in a lake of information that can easily be read and interpreted the wrong way. It helps to reset biases, contemplate opposites, move your mind to a quiet place. Then, resurface.

This idea of going for a walk, cause that’s when the solution pops. It’s kind of like that.
